Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a Rotary International 5-day residential leadership training program specifically designed to develop professional leadership qualities in today’s young professionals between the ages of 18 and 26 years.
RYLA is committed to providing targeted professional leadership training to young adults to meet the expectations of the business community.
The learning outcomes from the RYLA Program are:-
- Leadership
- Project management (small to medium)
- Time management
- Team building
- Goal setting
- Negotiating skills
As part of Rotary International commitment to young adults, the course has been developed to meet community and business requirements by:
- Engaging practicing corporate trainers and presenters and high profile guest speakers.
- Employing current learning material developed by experienced course designers.
- Applying new knowledge and skills to community project planning and implementation during and post-program respectively.
The cost of the course has been heavily subsidized to broaden access to this leadership program to a wide range of businesses. This is achieved by Rotary’s unique capacity to attract world standard presenters to these forums.
